SMS Terms of Service
These terms describe our text messaging programme: what we send, how often, what it costs you, and how to stop. They apply to text messages between Doctor Insurance One and you.

Who we are and what the programme is
Doctor Insurance One is a licensed insurance agency in Miami, Florida. We help people compare and enroll in ACA marketplace plans, Medicare, dental, vision and life coverage, and we stay with them for the life of the policy.
Almost every message we send is written by your own licensed agent, by hand, to you. There is no chatbot and no automatic sequence of marketing messages. You can reply, and a person reads what you write.
How you join
There are three ways, and all of them start with you.
You can tick the consent box next to the phone field on our contact or quote form. The box is never ticked for you, and the form will not accept a phone number until you tick it. If you would rather not be texted, leave it unticked and give us an email address instead — we will still help you, by email or by phone. Ticking it is never a condition of getting a quote or buying anything.
You can call or text us first. If you do, we reply to that number.
Or you can tell a licensed agent during an application that we may text you. The agent reads you the same disclosures that are on this page.
What we send
Your agent answering your question, asking about your household or income, asking for a document the marketplace requires, or arranging a call. A quote you asked for. A link to a form you need to sign, and a copy of it once you have signed. A one-time passcode when you sign in to our app or confirm it is you. Reminders about open enrollment and renewal deadlines. And a message if a premium payment fails, because that one is time-sensitive.
We never send you loan offers, credit repair, cannabis, gambling or another company's advertising, and we never send messages on another company's behalf.
How often, and what it costs
Message frequency varies. Most messages are part of a conversation you started, so how many you get depends on your own case — busy during enrollment, quiet the rest of the year.
Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge you for text messages; your mobile carrier may, according to your own plan.
We send marketing reminders only between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm in your own time zone. A reply from your agent may arrive during our office hours.
How to stop, and how to get help
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. We will send one confirmation and then nothing further. Reply START if you change your mind and want them again.
Reply HELP for help, or call us at 800-305-7709. A person answers.
Stopping text messages does not cancel your policy, and it does not stop us calling you about something urgent on it. If you want us to stop calling as well, tell us and we will.
Carriers and delivery
We cannot guarantee that every message arrives. Delivery depends on your mobile carrier, and carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. If something matters and you have not heard from us, call the office.
Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Boost, MetroPCS, Cricket and others.
Your information
What we do with your phone number, and everything else you give us, is set out in our Privacy Policy. The short version for this programme: we keep a record of your consent — what the checkbox said, in which language, and when — so we can show why we texted you.
Your opt-in to text messaging, and the consent behind it, are not shared with anyone else for their own purposes.
